How to Raise your Vibration

Our vibrational measurement is a match to our overall state of being.  We are a ‘being’ that is made up of different energy levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Each of these levels has a vibrational frequency, which combine to create our overall vibrational signature.

Because everything is energy, then all things that surround us also have a vibrational frequency which has a measurement.   Vibrations operate at high and low frequencies, within us and around us.

The Law of Vibration is very real. Our energy frequency and vibration directly relates to our thoughts and surroundings. Additionally, our frequency rises or drops according to the frequency of the things and people which surround us. If something resonates at a stronger energetic frequency compared to ours, then that level of frequency can pull us in.

It is for this reason that we must become aware of what surrounds us, and manage our own vibrational frequency accordingly.   Our surrounding affects us in one way or another. Think of the energy within music, television programs, other people and differing environments.  How does it affect our own vibration, health and well being?  Our priority needs to be to surround ourselves with a high vibrating environment.  Having opposing energy that is strong will only tire us out as we attempt to maintain our own.

When two sound frequencies come together, the lower one rises to meet the higher. We call this the principle of resonance. A practical example is when a piano is tuned.  A tuning fork is struck and brought close to the piano string that carries the identical musical tone. The string then raises its vibration automatically and adjusts itself to the same rate at which the fork is vibrating. It can be the same with us.  If we walk into our work environment and the people there have low morale or feel unappreciated, it will be a challenge for us to maintain our own self-worth and optimism because there is strength in numbers.  That’s why we yearn for like-minded people who can support our desire to be vibrating higher.  It feels better for us on all levels.

Some methods that we can use to raise our own vibrations are as follows:

Become conscious of your thoughts

Everything you think, say or feel, if focused on long enough, will eventually become your reality. Desiring to be in a higher vibration means that we must learn to how to manage our own thoughts in every moment. This becomes easier when realize that the thoughts which come to us, are not always ours. In other words… “you are not your thoughts”. More than likely they are an old belief system that has been downloaded earlier in our life without our permission.  Learning to discern what is ours will assist us to bring our thoughts to a higher level.

Easier said than done in the face of life’s challenges, right? Even so – the next time a negative thought shows up in our head, take the time to acknowledge it, thank it for showing up, and then replace it with a better thought that still resonates.  There are many ways to do this.  It just takes practice.

Recognize that we have Choice

Our past does not dictate the choices and decisions we make today. There are times when we chose to be a victim of circumstance, family upbringing or trauma. As humans, we all experience misfortunes.   As a result, we can choose to make better choices and decisions which alter our future path and raise our vibration.

When we stay in the state of feeling sorry for our self, we close our eyes to great opportunities that will inevitably arise as a result of our experience.  We know that the Universe wastes nothing.  That includes every misfortune.  When we take responsibility for how we want to feel in any given moment, we become available for the blessings and the purpose behind all events.  Surrendering is the mystical paradox that gives us back some control within our life.

Realize your ability to transcend limitation

We are beings of vibrating energy; created from the same energy that our Divine Creator is.  As creators ourselves, we are here to learn how to direct our energy to where we want it go, not where we don’t want it to go. It is easier to identify in the moment of frustration, what we don’t want.  And yet this is only the starting point for us to identify where we do want to go.  Experiencing a preference through negative emotion is the way that we put ourselves back onto our journey with us being the driver, not the passenger.

Seek out beauty and appreciate it

It is easy to become engulfed in day to day worries that seem to have importance.  Even so beauty abundantly surrounds us, and it only requires our focus to have our world appear much differently. Taking the time to “stop and smell the roses” is the way to become aware that focus and intention is everything.  Stand in the sunlight, watch a sunset, observe a newborn baby or spend time with your beloved pet.  So many things are in place already that we are missing because our focus is somewhere else.

Allow Expression to be Inspired

When we express from a place of gratitude, it swings our vibrational frequency into a higher state. When our focus is on all that is going well, we identify what is already abundant in our life.  Expression can be Inspiring when we chose our own way to express.  Perhaps we love to write, or paint.  Another likes to be in movement through yoga or dance.  Make your personal expression inspirational, and know that being thankful, raises our vibration.

Nurture the body with High Vibrating food

Food that is alive has a high vibrating life force which interacts easily with our own bodies to bring healing and regeneration into our cells.  Feel the high vibrations disseminate throughout our body and additionally, let us listen to what our bodies want and need. Having the intention to be loving towards our bodies brings the desire take care and feed our bodies with care and consciousness.

 Water, water, water

Ensuring that we replace water within us constantly allows us to function at our very best.  Our bodies are made mostly of water.  It is easy to become out of balance when we don’t hydrate sufficiently.  We use water to release toxins from ourselves during every moment and in many ways.  Breathing, sweating and excreting our waste material.  We need to drink plenty of water (filtered is best) to assist our body to flush out toxicity and assist in regulating all systems. Toxicity or blocking the release of anything has a marked impact on our vibration. With all the distractions available like coffee, juice and carbonated beverages, it is easy for us to forget to replenish our bodies optimally through water.

Practice bringing your Brain waves into Alpha state

Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and breath in and out. The daily grind consists of rushing from one event to another, and scattering our energy along the way.  This often leaves us in a state of stress or anxiety.  Meditation, visualization or any active trance activity can help us to calm our spirit and place ourselves in a state of contemplation and peace.  Even 10 minutes twice a day can make all the difference.  Upon waking and going into the sleep state are two natural times to focus on maintaining the Alpha State.

Clear your mental chaos regularly

Meditation is one way in which your mind removes worry, desire, and thought. There are many other ways.  Journal regularly to empty out what is bouncing around inside.  Find a counsellor or mentor who will listen as you empty out thoughts that abound and refuse to leave.  Resisting thoughts is what in fact keeps them coming.  Devote a time to having the thoughts arise in order to let them go, and make that technique personal to you.

Relax your nervous system through Breath

Diaphragmatic breathing allows you to find a calm vibration, which raises your vibrational frequency as a whole. Learning to bring our breath into awareness and allowing the breath to be long and deep will have a direct effect upon our entire nervous system.  It immediately sends messages to the brain to allow us to be more constantly in the state of tranquility and calm.

Notice all Successes

Each and every day, we do things that are successful.  Often we don’t count that as we summarize our days.  Then we miss out on viewing our own awesome-ness as a being who lives in a pretty complex world.  Perhaps at the end of the day, we might write out a list of things that we succeeded at during the day.  They can be simple things like, “I maintained my composure during a frustrating moment”.  If you didn’t then make that a success too.  “I did a good job of losing it today”.  Being kind to yourself and noticing little successes builds a caring relationship between you and you.  This is a beautiful exercise that allows us to see many wonderful qualities about ourselves.  It also allows us to see how rich our life experience is.

Practice Random Acts of Kindness

Giving to someone else shifts our focus from ourselves to another.  It builds in an observer that informs us that others are struggling too, and that we are never alone.  We have an energetic chord that connects us to all others.  Acts of kindness are best when they are simple, natural and spontaneous.  And yet that will require some paying attention.  Set the intention to look at people in the eyes today and gift them a welcoming smile.  Perhaps wish another a wonderful day.  When meeting people, notice something that is complimentary, and tell them so that they are distracted from their own worries and delighted by the compliment.  Watch for simple ways to assist another who may have an easier moment with your gesture.  Hold a door open for another, let a car in at an intersection or offer to help someone who is carrying something too heavy.  This is a great way to put ourselves in an aware and high vibrating state.

Move the Body

All thoughts and emotions have a vibration, and if they are low vibrating, they need to move out of our bodies to be released.  Staying in one spot builds congestion, even of thoughts and emotions.  Moving the body through dance, walking, running or any activity that moves us, allows all vibration to shift.  The happier we feel as we move, the more happy experiences we are apt to draw to ourselves.

Be the guardian of your own gate.

What you let into your energetic field is up to you.  Often we are not aware of our own power to control what we let in.  We begin our day with negative news, we end our day watching or listening to things that are not uplifting, and we soon wonder why we can’t ramp up within us a better feeling.  Our vibration raises or drops according to the strongest energy frequency within our proximity. If the frequency of someone is higher than yours, then it feels good, and we move to feeling better.  If someone is constantly negative, it is a lower vibration and unless we are aware of being the guardian of our own gate, we can be swept into a vibrational frequency that pulls us down.

Find reasons to laugh.

Laughter, as you know, is an energetic activity and is extremely contagious. It can raise your heart rate and lead to an increase in vibrational frequency. There are times we smiling or laughter feels illusive.  Even so, even practising smiling sends chemical signals to the brain to shift and change our vibration to a higher state.  Have a support system which can bring you to laughter easily.  Perhaps it is a special humorous friend that always makes you laugh no matter how you feel.  Or a television show that you can relate to with laughter. 

There is so much available to us, if we focus our intention to what we want, or how we want to feel.  It is all about our focus.
